This is for TFiOS. A short story inspired by the book.
I hope John Green reads it someday.

Peacock is a brunette braider. Mostly she scribbles, looks around and leaves a note. A flightless bird searching for wings. She is reading her late Grandmother's diary.
Flick is a curious boy with curious blue eyes. He looks at the girl on the bench scribbling something and gets curious. He likes to flick a smile.
Together Peacock and Flick go through the pages of an old blue notebook and fall in love along the edge of word and relive the lives of those they read about.
Its more than just a love story, it's more about how the world has the same pace, the same casualties, the same white roses, the same curious minds, the same heartbeat accelerating adventures even when time is not the same. It's more about how people can be so much same without even being same. It's love a little backwards and love a little forward. It's less than a love story and more a self discovery coming of age short story.

To Warm Frozen Fingers // A Short Story Collection by MidnightBeast1098

I like to write. As you may be able to tell. I haven't been very good at writing lately. As you may also have been able to tell. That's why I've decided to write a short story collection. The stories won't interlink, some may vary wildly and you might even wonder if they were written by the same person (the answer is yes). Overall, I'm aiming to write 23 stories, which was one per day for 23 days but I failed at that (*seethes* college work...) so now I'm just aiming to finish it before winter is over! The stories won't be very long - I'm only allowed to write for 10 minutes per story, just to get me going again (and literally warm my fingers, I get really really cold fingers for some reason) and the most I've ever written in that time is around 500 words. This story includes quite a bit of swearing as well (blame my trucker dad for that) so viewer discretion is advised. No Smut whatsoever in this book. (I love y'all but I'm not putting my ace ass through that torture) If you have an idea for a cute date between characters, a friend group excursion, etc. please comment.
