This story was inspired by the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee so if you are a fan of that then you should enjoy it and even if you're not hopefully you will anyway.  

Emily is a young girl growing up in a small village in the 1940's in occupied France. She lives and works in the town's bakery with her father, older brother Marius and younger brother Evan. Her life is great until one day her father gets called away, Marius leaves and a Jewish family turn to them for help and her life gets turned upside down. 

Follow Emily on her adventures and how events in her life make her grow up faster than she ever imagined she would.
