Calypso can't remember what her life was like before becoming mer.  But she knows one thing for sure; she hates it. Being half human means having feelings and emotions, unlike the others. After deciding to go on a hunt to find a cure to her curse under the sea, she gets swept up into a world she never thought she would encounter; vampires. 

Her life takes an interesting and dangerous turn when she meets a mysterious vampire who takes a keen interest in her and whatever secrets she holds. Calypso soon gets stuck in a tug of war between her newly found human desires and the taunting fear that if he found out what she was, things would take a turn for the worse.
