Alternate title I was debating: "Younger Than You and Wiser Than You'll Ever See"
"But you're only 16. YOU shouldn't be giving ME advice. I'm older than you, and I know better."
Wow. Don't you just love it when every adult around says the exact same thing every day, and it's always wrong?
Guess what. Age doesn't bring wisdom. Experience does. And while age generally brings experience, I've had more experience in my 16 years than some people have had in their 60. So let ME educate YOU for a change.
And if you don't think I know what I'm talking about or if you're too stubborn to listen to a teenager, take it from Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre. She's older than me by a few centuries, and here's what she said on the subject:
"I don't think, sir, you have a right to command me, merely because you are older than I, or because you have seen more of the world than I have-your claim to superiority depends on the use you have made of your time and experience."
Basically, age doesn't bring wisdom. Experience does. And I've got a lot of experience. So sit down, shut your mouth, and listen up. Take some advice. Because this world needs all the advice it can get.
Enjoy, and learn. Hopefully this will not only help you, but help you help others.
**If you have a topic you'd like me to discuss and give advice on, or a bit of advice for me to add or change (and credit you on), DM me and let me know. I love to see people's comments, and I LOVE knowing that my advice is making a difference.**
