Tía Simpson is your typical pessimistic teenager. Overwhelmed by her supposed bad luck she takes a negative view on everything except her bare necessities: her friends, her half-brother and her boyfriend. But everything changes when she takes note of Kale Andrews-Smith. A bad boy who also approaches everything as though it was bad luck. Tía tries to keep her distance from him but his good looks and notoriously curious personality draws her in.

I thought that after all we've been through, after everything that we have told and done together, that it would be okay to open up to him.
