Winter and her two sisters, Alyssa and Nalla, finally accept the true nature of the apocalypse. but only when a zombie attacks, and bites one of their own.

spoilers:
I ran into the zombie, arm first, pushing it down before the woman was bitten. I glanced up at her, watching her run with a small smile. That is about the time i realized i was still wrestling a zombie. I looked back at it, but it was to late, it's teeth were wrapped around my arm, blood oozing from it's mouth. I held my breath to stop my scream, shoving the zombie away, jumping back with a small gasp.

I am a zombie now. I felt tears spring to my eyes, and i let them roll down my face. For some reason, one thought went through my head. I need to hide.

I grabbed my knife out of my boot and sliced it's throat. It stumbled back and came at me again. I poised the knife in my hand and forced it into its bloodshot eye. Blood pooled out of its socket as it fell to the ground.' Arizona is living in a world of ruin and wreckage in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. It seems there is no hope for having a normal family someday. People she loves are dying left and right and she doesn't know what to do as they are consumed by the virus. Until her life turns around for the better when she encounters somebody in the forest. The world crumbles down around her, will she ever come out of the rubble alive? I asked her, not believing she just stood there doing nothing, the girl I knew was so daring that she did not need saving from these men, she would have fought them by herself. I gently held her arm and she flinched, "I'm sorry to trouble you. But thank you for saving my life." She said, her was voice low and her body shook slightly. "Hey calm down, you didn't cause me any trouble. And look at you now, if it were me touching you, you would've already punched me square in the jaw. Not so tough now?" I teased her a little to calm her down, but she just looked at me in surprise. Her green eyes were lifeless but fear was evident on her face. Her hands were balled into fists by her sides. "Aubrey, you don't look yourself. I don't believe it why are you..." I stopped talking, seeing the panic in her eyes which appeared the moment I started speaking again. Then realization finally sank in my head and I stopped her by grabbing her arm before she could run away. "Rose?" I said observing her closely. She didn't deny it. *********** They say opposites attracts, but what if opposites repel? When Aubrey finds out her twin, Rose, is alive, she would do anything for her, even if it means losing herself. But what happens if Rose does not want to be found and things get a lot messier than they already were?
