Winter and her two sisters, Alyssa and Nalla, finally accept the true nature of the apocalypse. but only when a zombie attacks, and bites one of their own.

spoilers:
I ran into the zombie, arm first, pushing it down before the woman was bitten. I glanced up at her, watching her run with a small smile. That is about the time i realized i was still wrestling a zombie. I looked back at it, but it was to late, it's teeth were wrapped around my arm, blood oozing from it's mouth. I held my breath to stop my scream, shoving the zombie away, jumping back with a small gasp.

I am a zombie now. I felt tears spring to my eyes, and i let them roll down my face. For some reason, one thought went through my head. I need to hide.

She whimpered but as if her father didn't hear it he continued to grab her once again. "Father, please" She cried" "Now you have the guts to call me father huh? I should do this more often" She tried to run but he was able to catch her in his strong hands. "NO!" She kicked him and bit his hands but to no avail. He gripped her wrist and tied it towards the bed. "Don't protest daughter or it'll excite me even more" She escaped from home and welcomed hell into her life. Every night she felt pain all over her body. Her adopter lambasted her mercilessly until she was in deep darkness. An opportunity came and she immediately took it. She thought she was already safe, but another chaos awaits her in the outside world. Every fiber of her body beg for her to give up. But this doesn't mean her life was full of misery. While she hides herself from the darkness, she founds light. "Why didn't you fight them?" I asked her, not believing she just stood there doing nothing, the girl I knew was so daring that she did not need saving from these men, she would have fought them by herself. I gently held her arm and she flinched, "I'm sorry to trouble you. But thank you for saving my life." She said, her was voice low and her body shook slightly. "Hey calm down, you didn't cause me any trouble. And look at you now, if it were me touching you, you would've already punched me square in the jaw. Not so tough now?" I teased her a little to calm her down, but she just looked at me in surprise. Her green eyes were lifeless but fear was evident on her face. Her hands were balled into fists by her sides. "Aubrey, you don't look yourself. I don't believe it why are you..." I stopped talking, seeing the panic in her eyes which appeared the moment I started speaking again. Then realization finally sank in my head and I stopped her by grabbing her arm before she could run away. "Rose?" I said observing her closely. She didn't deny it. *********** They say opposites attracts, but what if opposites repel? When Aubrey finds out her twin, Rose, is alive, she would do anything for her, even if it means losing herself.
