Ever since the peace treaty that was recognised by the humans and the vampires, the world had been living in blissful peace. That is if you call selling humans as blood bags to vampires, as blissful peace. 

The Vaquie, half human and half vampire were responsible for marking and claiming girls before bidding them off to the richest Vampire. They had no mercy because it was either humans or them, and so, as the human leaders turned their blind eyes away, humans were quietly taken and made to disappear. 

So, this story begins on a not so quiet night, when Aurora Ranson was taken. She has Sreiic, special blood, they said, but what they did not anticipate was her special rebellious behaviour or her fiery spirit. But, that was not their problem since they had made a very good deal with a very deadly Vampire, who promised to break her until she was mute, obedient and his.
