You know how every romantic movie makes you wonder 'Where are these boys/girls in my life?' 'Why don't I get to meet such cute guys?' 'Is it really this easy or complicated or ooey gooey as it seems?' This is about my story or the multiple tries that I am about to undergo in order to fall in love or to just like a guy and then proceed to write a story based on how it pans out! Why you ask? Let us call it curiosity shall we?
Follow Mia through her awkward daily tangle in the attempt to find a man and to dare allow herself to fall in love with him or you know just be her usual clumsy self and chase the boy away before he even reaches out to say hi! Does she meet the romantic comedy guy and live her secret movie dream or does she get a dose of reality and realize that reality isn't all what the movies make it out to be?

Mia flopped dramatically onto the couch, her face etched with teenage frustration. "Love is impossible now! It's not like in your time, Mom-when childhood friends just magically turned into soulmates. 'The one and only' is a myth now!" she declared. Aanya, sipping her tea, tried to suppress a laugh. "Oh, sweetie," she said with a knowing smirk, "who told you love was simple back then? If anything, it was even messier. Let me tell you, love comes with drama, tears, shouting, and sometimes even restraining orders-uh, ignore that last part." Mia's eyes narrowed. "You? Drama? Please, you're perfect. You always say and do the right thing! I bet your love life was, like, a Bollywood movie where everything ends in a song and dance." Aanya nearly choked on her tea, shaking her head. "Bollywood movie? Honey, my college life was more like a comedy show where everyone was running in circles. If you think I always had it together, oh boy, do I have stories for you." Mia perked up, arms crossed, her eyebrow raised in intrigue. "Oh, this I have to hear. I bet it's nowhere near as complicated as today's love lives." Aanya smirked and leaned back, ready to deliver the bombshell of nostalgia. "Complicated? Mia, back in my day, we didn't have dating apps to swipe left on creepy guys. We had to deal with them in person. And trust me, running into your crush while wearing yesterday's pajama pants because your laundry plan failed? That's a level of humiliation you'll never know." Mia's curiosity grew. "But you're always so calm and cool! You mean to tell me you weren't the picture of perfection This is gold. Tell me everything!" Aanya leaned forward with a conspiratorial grin. "Alright, but let me warn you-it involves your aunts, your uncle, some very questionable fashion choices, and more plot twists than a soap opera." As Mia settled in, Aanya began, knowing she had just set the stage for a wildly entertaining walk down memory lane.

Josh and Katie have been best friends since he first moved nextdoor midway through freshman year. They were attached to the hip and acted like they've known each other for years. Josh Parker was the all American boy who all the girls wanted, including Katie. As Katie and Josh's friendship blossomed she quickly formed a crush on Josh, but as the years progressed, her crush turned into love. Five years after leaving Miami brokenhearted after finding out about Josh's engagement to his childhood sweetheart. Katie unexpectedly reunites with her former best friend, and Josh quickly realizes that his feelings for her are not just platonic anymore. * As I'm walking out of work I get a call from my brother to pick my niece up from school. For the past 4 years that little girl has had me wrapped around her finger and I wouldn't have it any other way. Unfortunately I got stuck in traffic on the way over so I'm late for pick up. Once I get to Melanie's classroom I fill out the sign out sheet that's on the wall and make my way into the classroom. I faintly hear Melanie laughing so I know she's not upset from me being late. "Hey I'm so sorry. I got stuck in traff..." I said stopping mid sentence, stunned at the woman in front of me. Standing in front of me is someone I considered one of the most important people to me back in highschool. As soon as I looked into those Caribbean blue that I used to know so well, I knew it was her. It takes her a few seconds to realize who I am. She stands there stunned. We continue to stare at each other until she breaks the silence. "Josh?" She asks not believing it's actually me. "Hey Katie girl."
