"The monsters shall roar, so let them roar! We will stand in defiance, in retaliation! Our beastblood is a gift, one given to us from those above! So stand! Fight! Pay the beasts back for what they have done to us in double!" It was in the middle of the Second Era that the Plague struck down the West - a region left decimated in the aftermath of the Warlord Brutus' rampage. The Plague was a horrible thing - it twisted most into horrific monsters nothing short of the most depraved demon's lusts and killed many others. The devastation was untold and the West was barricaded to hold the contagion back, even the highest powers at Amber Rock unwilling to send aid. And yet, among even the most dire of circumstances, a form of hope stirred for those still alive.

The world we knew is no more. It's all started with a strange illness spread through sporadic means, incredibly virulent and deadlier than anything human's recorded history could remember. People exposed to those spore turned into living corpses in less than a minute, instinctively preying over the healthy ones with unsatiable hunger. Quickly overwhelmed by the situation, world governments lost control of the majority of their national territories. Whether by pragmatism or pure selfishness, millions of individuals were abandoned by those who swore to protect them. Authoritarian governments were established to protect the new elites and those useful to their cause. Fortune settlements were built all around the world by those who were abandonned, fighting for the meager resources left behind. Mysterious organizations rose in prominence, aiming to become the leader of this new world order. Amidst of this madness, a man going by the name of Aether unlocked the military system, a mysterious technology capable of changing the fate of the entire world.
