In December 1976, Wilfred Lowe, an elderly man, is kidnapped in Boston, Massachusetts and taken to Daytona Beach, Florida. Wilfred owns a pharmacy in Boston and learns he has been selling supplies to drug dealers to make illegal drugs. Wilfred confronts the dealers and that is when they kidnap him and force him to have supplies sent to them. Wilfred is reported missing and his whereabouts are solved. The Boston Police Department hires four of its American officers and five other officers from around the world to make their way from Massachusetts to Florida to retrieve Wilfred. The officers are also ordered to take Wilfred's daughter Susan, along on the trip. The trip takes a turn as more conflicts arise and the past makes its way into the present, and each and every individual discovers something about themself.

Tom Harwood and Freddie Glover are in a relationship. When an argument is blown out of proportion one night, Tom disappears. Distraught over the fight, Freddie falls into depression, unaware that Tom is missing until a few days later. With help from his friends, Detectives Dom Marafioti and Rex Barnett, Freddie searches for Tom, unknowingly moving closer towards a past that haunts him. Because Freddie was witness to something that altered who he was forever, and Tom has no idea that his boyfriend isn't really his boyfriend after all.
