Roxie Knight just wanted to be a normal teenager, but life had other ideas. In a world filled with magic and magical beings she was chosen to save the world. But Roxie didn't want that pressure. She did her best fight her destiny, but maybe that wasn't the best choice.

She came every day to see him, chattering about nothing important. Over time he started to warm up to her. Through the years they developed a sort of friendship. But what will the two do when on her eighteenth birthday, the village priest decides that Raven would be the sacrifice for that year? Will the beast kill his friend like he did the others?
