( infinity war and slight ant man and the wasp spoilers ahead )
(this is an AU, NOTHING of it is actually Canon, I have no idea what's going to happen in avengers 4!)
They won.
They finally won. About two months after the events of infinity war and Avengers 4, Tony finds himself in a situation between life and death.
To win against Thanos, he and the others had to steal the soul stone from Thanos, to save everyone who was killed during the events of Avengers 3. Thanks to Ant Man's help, who got saved from the time vortex by Tony, they were able to make the impossible happen.
With all of their powers combined, they were able to steal the infinity gauntlet from the purple tyrant. Tony, who used the infinity gauntlet to defeat Thanos once and for all, broke down after using the powers of the gauntlet. Because his body was too weak to handle the strenght of all of the infinity stones together, he fell in a comatose state and didn't wake up even after two months.
Peter, Bruce and Stephen visit him almost every day, hoping that he will wake up soon.

It has been a month since the second Snap. Tony Stark, AKA Ironman, and Peter's close mentor, was in a coma ever since he snapped with the Infinity Stones to decimate the enemy. It had effectively almost killed him, but he was still alive, just in a deep, deep sleep. Peter couldn't stand it. Tony was like a father to him, and he didn't want to lose the man he always looked up to. So he decided to start writing letters to Tony. Lots and lots of letters, one a day, all sent to the hospital Tony was in, in high hopes that he will one day wake up and be able to read them.
