Remie Lee had never given much thought to how his life would turn out.

He assumed that, with his overbearing mother who sold herself for money and a viscous father who beat her for doing so, he'd end up somewhere in between becoming horridly desperate, or becoming effortlessly violent.

With a foul mouth and a corrupt mindset for life, Remie found himself time and time again in trouble, or at the hands of his merciless father.

Death would be the only thing to tame him and knock him onto his knees...

...or so he thought.

Alastair is a cold, brutal creature with inhuman abilities that had, at first, shocked Remie into speechlessness. The rough encounter had ended with Remie snatched away into darkness, into a world in which he was merely an insect easily squished.

Alastair stole Remie from a terrible life and introduced him into another, where he was beaten and broken down into a submissive, cowering little thing.

It seemed Alastair would never treat Remie equally, or with the gentleness his brother's seemed to bless upon their own human companions.

Was it possible to change Alastair? To receive patience or kindness or...affection? Was it something Remie wanted, was it something he ached for, or did he desire for something else entirely?
