As I walked down the sandy floor when I was ten, following after my fellow students with special underwater spy-glasses to study life in rock-pools, I couldn't help notice dozens of large plastic bottles scattered over the beach, all of them big enough to hold 2 litres. It made me wonder: why do humans litter?
