Every day we read that how the ozone layer is deteriorating, how there is no clean water left to drink, how animals are getting extinct but what do we actually do to stop this? Reading and then sighing will not remove the toxic gases in the air, it will not remove the waste from the ocean and it will not save animals from dying. 'Think about it,' will only leave us sitting on our sofa in front of digital screens so instead of thinking, its time to show some action.

Erin Watts is a 15-year-old human living in the slums of Designated Area No.6. He attends the prestigious Arlington School of Servitude and wants nothing more than having a bright future. Unfortunately, things aren't going his way as of late. His mother, a syred human, is sick and about to die. When she bites the dust, her protection from being syred to an Eldritch master will die with her, leaving Erin unprotected. His school is also starting to suspect he might not come from a wealthy background. And, to top it all off, his Eldritch neighbor wants to rape him and torture him to death. Could it get any worse for him? What can Erin do? How far will he go before he breaks down? Can he beat the system? The Gory Details (Gross)
Between 2004 and 2008 I wrote a series of "Tips for Writers" for Nocturnal Ooze magazine vaguely about what would happen in real life if you did the things they do in movies but mostly about the gross out. I've always loved them and so have taken them out of mothballs for a new audience here on wattpad. They're all here except for #13 which seems to have vanished. I've also left them mostly intact except for a few very dated references that have been updated.
