Carlisia ran as fast as her sore legs would let her. Her top was ripped and her knees scabbed from all the time she had tripped on the rough patchy ground. She tripped again, blood dripped from the corner of her mouth as a stone bust her lip. She quickly got up, and continued to run. She could feel his presence. Not chasing her, no. Observing her. He was amused how she thought she could run away. Carlisia's knees buckled underneath her again, she was so tired and in so much pain. A sob escaped her lips, she couldn't take it anymore. Sniffling, she took deep breaths, trying to get up but her legs wouldn't let her. They were just too bruised. She sighed, this was it perhaps. She rolled onto her back and pushed herself up against a tree, just as a figure emerged in front of her. "Tired I see?" The dark voice said after a moment of silence. "P-please just let me go." Carlisia whispered. Her throat was dry from all the screaming earlier. "Where would you go Carlisia? Hmm? There is no where to run to." He mused as he casually strolled in front of her. Clearly amused by the situation. "Well, there are places." He said sarcastically, swatting his hand in the air for emphasis. "Just not ones where you can hide." He tusked finally looking at her straight in the eyes. "There isn't a place in this world, no nook, no cranny, where I can not get you from. I need you to understand that love." He said as he crouched in front of her and tenderly brought a strand of her loose locks to his nose and took a deep breath, momentarily closing his eyes. "I will find you from any depth of this universe." he breathed out. Tears fell from Carlisia's eyes as she looked at the side, trying to push her face away from him, breathing as if a deer caught in headlights. "Well, not that I will let you leave in the first place." He chuckled, tugging at the strand as he finally opened his eyes. They were once again golden. Copyright 2021 ©

Park Jimin, a passionate history teacher with a love for books and exploration, leads his students on a camp to a remote village for a project focused on introducing new technology to rural communities. One restless night, Jimin stumbles upon an old, mysterious library hidden within the village. The moment he steps inside, he feels an inexplicable pull towards a neglected book in the corner. When he opens it, strange things begin to unfold-memories he doesn't recognize, words appearing on their own, and the presence of a shadowy figure watching him from afar. As Jimin digs deeper, he discovers that the book holds not just words, but fragments of a past life he has forgotten. Guided by the whispers written in the book, he unravels the story of a timeless bond with a boy named Jeon Jungkook. Their souls, once intertwined, had been separated by the currents of reincarnation. Now, the book-and Jungkook's lingering presence-is Jimin's key to remembering a love that transcended lifetimes. Through mysterious encounters, emotional revelations, and the pull of forgotten promises, Jimin embarks on a journey to reclaim the lost pieces of his heart. The story climaxes under an ancient tree, where the past and present collide, and Jimin finally remembers everything. --- Theme: The story explores themes of reincarnation, timeless love, destiny, and the idea that some souls are meant to find each other no matter how many lifetimes pass. It's a tale of emotional depth, quiet yearning, and the beauty of rediscovering a love written in the stars.
