I wrote this story with elements borrowed from Edgar Alan Poe's writing style, for school. This short story was written at a very low point in my life but I hope that some part of it resonates with you or leaves you puzzled. Keep in mind that despite its dark theme, this story was written with hope in mind, which plays a very important role in the life of our protagonist.
