Seabed [---] #Planet Or Plastic

Entry to the National Geographic Planet Or Plastic contest.
Doesn't really follow either of the pictures, but it is about the same concept. I'm not really expecting to win. But this really is a serious issue, and I'm just here to help raise awareness with my own style.
I would've written more, but the stories are limited to 500 words. This is exactly 500 words.

Fusion was supposed to erase our problems. No more fossil fuels, no more global warming. Oil-fired power plants shut down. Carbon dioxide emissions were halved twice in less than a year.

Now we had oil, and nothing to do with it.

Except that wasn't true. We did have a use. One huge sink for the world's entire supply.

Plastic.
