The whole damn time

"You know how when you do a wordfind, you search really hard for one word but find another? When I accepted the opportunity for us to go on the BUS, I was searching for an adventure. A life-changing experience, an exciting tale to someday tell. I got my adventure, plenty of it, actually, but I found something else along the way. Or, should I say, I found someone. Sure, we were best friends before the team was put together, but that was all we were. Just plodding along, content with ourselves and our status as friends. But now, after we've almost died several times, and Skye has too, I realise that life really is too short to just stay as we are. And I know that I would never be happy to see you with anyone else, living another life, or even gone before I had the chance to tell you how I really felt. That's what my nightmare was about. It's my greatest fear, losing you, scarier to me than dying, or getting blown up or something. If I lose you, I lose myself, Fitz, because if you were gone, I don't know what I would do."

This is a collection of Fitzsimmons moments throughout the first season of Marvels Agents of Shield. Some are related, some I created, but altogether they tell one story, the story of two scientists and how they became more than friends.
