Book One
Fleeing the cold of England, Catia heads to a remote isle off the coast of Louisiana in search of her Aunt Ellia in the hopes that the woman can cure the monsters that haunt her mind.
Upon her arrival in Point Reneé, years old secrets stir threatening to drag the town's dark history into the light. When a dead body shows up on the shores of the bay and all fingers point to Catia as the first suspect, not only do the living start coming after her, but also the dead.
As the beasts claw their way out from the dark, Catia must quickly learn the secrets of the past and take back control of her soul if she is to have any chance of saving herself from becoming one of the monsters she so frightfully fears.
