Something Magical

Singto remembers the storm that took him out into the ocean when he was thirteen years old. He remembers sinking helplessly, his lungs burning, his limbs heavy. He remembers the flash of lightning illuminating the sea... a flash of white and gold... two glowing dots. He remembers feeling something wind around his waist, heard someone humming in his ear then there was nothing.

Eleven years later, he recovered fully from the incident, accepting that maybe he was just seeing things like his therapist suggested but he never really believed it.
