He smiled.
Very slightly, mostly with his eyes but he smiled nonetheless. He smiled a smile I don't think anyone in this world would recognize.
Not even Natalie that saw his more playful side almost as much as I had.
No, he smiled a smile that was different, one that I recognized as the smile he gave only me.
It wasn't a goodbye smile- not the smile he gave us before we walked out to get groceries. Not his "good luck, have fun" smile. That one was more open, showed more- for the sake of my nerves.
He smiled the smile he gave me when he let me win a game of shogi- he knew I was a sore loser. He smiled the smile he gave me when it was time to go to bed and he tried to say "I love you" but ended up saying "before you go, turn the big light off" instead.
That was the smile. The small one. The one I clung onto.
"I love you." I whispered at him and his smile grew into a "good luck, have fun".
I nodded. I would

His cheeks were dusted pink and he was as stoic as ever. Yet, deep down, and deep in his eyes, the eyes that brought me solace, I saw disappointment, I saw rejection, and I saw sadness. His eyes spoke to me, telling me he wanted me to kiss him back, he wanted to show me what he felt because his words failed him. But he didn't need to say anything, his eyes told me everything. They told me he didn't leave me, they showed me the fire of anger and righteousness, and they told me one very important thing. One thing I knew all along, ever since that moment when we spoke in the classroom about Oikawa and (Bff/N), ever since he saw me in the art class or borrowed the green paint. I knew it when he chased me down in the park, and when I cried, and when we had lunch, and when he took me to (Bff/N). It was in every look I gave him, it was in that nagging feeling and need to look at him in art class, it was in the calmness of his voice. It was also in the way his voice pulled me out of my deepest pit, and in the way his name was the only thing I could and wanted to focus on in that pit. It was always there, but I never recognized it. That small voice at the back of my head was telling me this all along, but I didn't understand her language back then. I didn't understand. But I decoded it, his eyes helped me learn the language. His eyes told me he was the one. ~| *** |~ "Just don't run." He said, making me gasp and slap his shoulder. It was as if he thought exactly the same thing as I did. "That depends on you, Iwa. Don't make me run away." He smiled, pulling back away from me and held his pinky in front of me. "Pinky-promise?" I couldn't help myself anymore. I don't think I would be able to live without this dork. "Pinky-promise."

《Best Rankings - #1 in Naruto Characters, #2 in Naruto Fanfiction and #3 in Sasuke Uchiha》 "You know, I'm jealous of all the people that haven't met you." I bluntly replied. "You know," he began, "You only annoy me when you're breathing." Instead of being insulted or mad, I took it as a challenge. Our eyes never left each other and he seemed to be waiting for round two. "So I am horrifying to look at. At least I take pride in my appearance." I countered, hoping he would take the bait. "What is that supposed to mean?" He said calmly, but I could feel the venom in his words. He took the bait, I smiled, I was going to enjoy this. "I don't think anyone has mentioned this but, your hair is sticking up in the back." I waited eagerly as I stared at his face, waiting for his response. Nothing. He growled, "My hair is supposed to be that way." His cold eyes were burning into mine. I gave him a once over and snickered. "I'm not saying your hair is bad, but my cat coughs up better looking stuff." ****** Being a 15 year old girl is tough. Being immune to Ninjutsu and Genjutsu isn't, but having the attention of an evil, criminal lord by the name of Orochimaru is. Being hated by an Uchiha is. Being kidnapped by an infamous criminal organisation is. Being wanted dead is. With a lot on her plate Winter isn't sure she is going to make it to her 16th birthday, but taking it one day at a time she realises that though she may have problems, other people have more. Sasuke Uchiha is filled with hate and getting darker and darker, who would have thought that a girl of all people would be the one to shine a light down his path? ****** "YES!!! Finally someone understands his character!!!" "Ooohhh. Your description of the fights are so good." "Exceptional as always!!"

"Hey, Naruto?" "What, babe?" I asked softly, tilting my head up to gaze into the onyx eyes of my lover. "Promise me that you'll never leave me. Swear to me, Naruto Uzumaki, that you'll always be by my side, through every little thing. Assure me that I'll never have to know another day without you." I frown slightly, my usual casual smirk still intact but a bit distorted by the furrowing of my brows. I stare down at Sasuke, confused by his out-of-the-blue demand and the worried look clouding his normally cool obsidian eyes. He inhales deeply and continues. "Even if it's a lie, I'll believe it, just tell me that you'll never let me go." I feel tears well up in my dull cerulean eyes and bite my lip to keep them from spilling onto my cheeks. All I can do is nod and stutter, "O-Of course, I-" His lips crash into mine, and suddenly hot, wet tears are rolling down both of our faces. I smile into the kiss, and the shared fear of losing each other slowly dissipates, replaced by raw passion. A few minutes pass, and Sasuke breaks off the kiss, though reluctantly. I sniff and wipe my eyes. "I love you so much," I whisper, reaching up to tuck a strand of raven hair behind his ear. He beams at me, his charcoal eyes glistening in the sheer moonlight. "I love you too." ----------------------- Disclaimer; I don't own Naruto, obviously. Hard Yaoi, be-(lieve it!)ware. Many triggers. Sad, sort of twisted ending. Don't like, don't read. Lemons. Again, don't like, don't read. Also, just so you know; the book sucks at first, because I was a lil' noob when I started out writing it, but please keep reading, as I can promise you it gets much better. All twenty chapters from Naruto's POV :-) No Sasuke POV. I was going to do one, but decided not to. One very short epilogue chapter at the end from the narrator's POV.

Sakura was on the very same bench Sasuke has left her. Crying with such sorrowful tears that it quickly saddened her surroundings. She was crying for her teammate, the very teammate now considered as a S-rank criminal. Sasuke Uchiha. She hated the name to be mentioned by her friends even it was only to reminisce those fun times they had together. "Why?" she cried. "Why did I have to be on love with someone like Sasuke-kun?" she complained bitterly. "If only." "If only I had one last chance." "Another chance to restart my life." "Even though, this would change my future, it's fin with me." "I just needed a second chance." Before she knew it, she was somewhere where no darkness existed, only light. "Where am I?" she wondered. "I will not tell you where you are," said a voice that felt like as soft as cotton and as elegant as ballet dancer dancing the most beautiful way. "Why am I here for?" asked Sakura. " You are here because of what you pleaded for," the voice said. "Your second chance." "My second chance?" "Yes, but you have to risk something." the voice said in a serous tone. " Your memory." "My memory?" said Sakura worriedly. She greatly cherished her memories, especially the fun times she had with her friends. " Yes, that will be the only sacrifice to get your second chance," replied the voice. Sakura was determined to get a second chance. " Alright, I accept." "Your second chance is granted." Then, another blinding light came to Sakura. Her recent memories were erased. Her second chance has become a reality . Will she be truly be happen this time?
