In a world divided up into five factions: Candor (the honest), Amity (the peaceful), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave) and Erudite (the intelligent), Lauren Cimorelli finds out that she is a Divergent and doesn't fit into one particular faction.
It is up to her to make sure nobody finds out who she really is as this can lead to her death. Which faction will she choose to try and keep her identity low? But, most importantly, what will happen when someone DOES find out? Will she eventually be found one night on the ground, covered in a pool of her own blood? Or, will she be protected from every bullet that comes across her way?
(Note: I do not own Divergent. The plot and some of the dialogue from this fanfiction comes from Veronica Roth's "Divergent". This will mostly be in Lauren and Dani's POVs).

~ Adding a new twist to the infamous series Divergent by Veronica Roth ~ When Evelyn Johnson, mother of Tobias Eaton and wife of Marcus Eaton, fakes her death in order to escape the domestic abuse of her husband, she flees to the Factionless in hopes to find a haven. She's met with uncertainty and guardedness from the very people she used to support by providing basic survival supplies. Up until she reveals a secret that changes - and will change - everything: she's pregnant. She asks the Factionless for their help and they oblige out of sympathy once she recounts the trauma she went through. Astrid Johnson grows happily among the Factionless - she makes friends and feels included in the community, but her existence remains unknown to her father Marcus and her brother Tobias. Evelyn tells her their story and trains her from the earliest age to run, climb, fight, and also jump on and off moving trains. She raises Astrid with the idea that at age 16, she will join Dauntless and secretly look out for Tobias, whom Evelyn mostly lost sight of.
