The Baleen Whale should be renamed the Hoover Whale. For obvious reasons. Lord knows how much plastic that majestic of marine creatures sucks up on a daily basis. 

An old man (Grandpa Joe) tells a tale to his granddaughter (Deniese) about the first time he went deep sea diving. He recollects seeing one of the most beautiful creatures in the most horrible way. A Baleen whale with its mouth wide open sucked up all the plastic (and plankton) in its path.  

A beautiful short story with just a glimmer of hope among the greatest of pests the world has ever seen (Man).
