Imagine if people had wings , not angel wings specifically although some people would, but all different types of wing of every colour, style and shape imaginable.  
Soulmates share the same colours and styles. 
People often become best friends with people who share the same styles.
Your style of wing changes slightly as you grow and get older.
People learning to fly at a young age. Some people with wings to small to fly, some people just chose not too.

Though he has no love of bloodshed and no use for a dagger, Landon isn't about to let Ray take his only link to his forgotten history, even if that means following the cambion past the edge of the world and into the shadow beyond.
