Jadelyn Birken lived a quite boring life and never had stepped foot into a public school until high school. Due to her little connection to the town, the only exception of her being on the town's recreational soccer team, she barely has any friends. Jadie's life changes when Michael Jackson and his family becomes her new next door neighbors. He introduces her to the world and the wonders it has to offer.

Michael gets thrown into the limelight of Hollywood and music contracts at the early age of twelve, unknowing of the lies and betrayal in the industry. His family moves to a small town for the year to complete their latest album. Months later, he leaves his best friend Jadie behind, alone in the small town of Pattonville, to tour around the world.

As time goes on, Michael loses contact, missing her at first, but soon accepting their fate as his favorite distant childhood memories. As he has no time to spare, even for himself, between writing music and producing it. Jadie waited nearly everyday for the phone to ring and to hear his soft voice. Eventually, she moves on, proceeding with her life like Michael so clearly did.

Until she shows up, front row, some years later, at his concert.

Of course, like every other love story, there will be ups and downs. Will Hollywood and the fame get to him? Will he crack under pressure? Do they finally get their happy ending?

"Why were you laughing at me, boy?" I demand, furrowing my eyebrows and crossing my arms.

"Because you're adorable," He smiles and pats my head. Instantly, my sour mood is gone and my heart swells. This man will be the death of me.

"Stop it," I blush, embarrassed. He pulls me in for a hug and kisses my forehead, "Never."
