Sha Lin is the main protagonist and we follow him in his return to the Paladins organization. He left after the accident at Ascension Peak. He is still very hesitant about returning, Valera approached him in the village of Runswick to hire him to retrieve the Warder's Artifacts.
That is where the story begins.
