Celiné is twenty-two years old and is battling her way through a divorce from her crazy husband, Derrick. They have one son together, Chad, who is eight months old and means the world to Celiné.

As Celiné is going through her troubles, she meets twenty-four year old August. August and his two brothers own a building for homeless people to sleep, eat, and bathe at.

August instantly grows attached to Chad and Celiné appreciates it and adores it. It's obvious that August wants to be with Celiné and cares for her because of her situation, but he also has some things to take care of before he can get with her.
