Marinette was born the Princess of China and Adrien the Prince of Europe. But what would happen if there was a war and they had to sent the children away for safety? What if they ended up in a protection center where no one knows who they are, not even themeselves? There isn't enough food for the kids so at night Alya, Nino, marinette, and Adrien sneak out of their prison to work and get food. Everyone has known each other since they were very small and don't know their real parents.
Also there are no Kwamis, instead they are animals who somehow have a bit of magic.
