In the year 2118 technological advances have exceeded all prior expectations. Sickness is pretty much non-existent, as a cure for the most challenging illness- cancer- was found almost two centuries ago. Human kind has excelled beyond the possible. 

However. With the lack of sicknesses, and dangerous jobs to help keep the population down, mankind is rapidly multiplying. The population has reached 14 billion and is expected to keep rising. The government are now grasping for straws as they can no longer keep avoiding the problem. New strategies have been put into place to decrease the population. 
Limits on the amount of children each family can have, the limit on lives of 80 years, and now the PRISM Trials.
