Jesse McCree knew this mission was going to end in flames as soon as Reyes assigned it to him. 

What he didn't know is that those flames would be blue, hurt like hell, and lead to a messy relationship of halfhearted insults and naivety.

McCree has been assigned to be the bodyguard of Hanzo, the runaway heir of the Shimada clan. The runaway's smart, skilled in weaponry, and practically untraceable. In Reyes' eyes, he'd be a perfect fit for Blackwatch. 

The only problem is that Jesse is bad at going undercover internationally, and he's positive he can't pull this off. But after receiving some horrific news and passive-agressive threats, he accepts. The challenging part of this operation is getting Hanzo to trust him enough - and that's where things take a turn for the worst. 

Join McCree as he tries to "protect" Hanzo and win over his trust - along with his heart.

Ana's scope was perfectly in place on top. I moved to a spot where I could see the range clearly but was hidden to everyone else. I looked through the scope to aim for a training robot, but instead I saw a person standing in the way, back turned. I moved away from the scope and got a clear look at the man. He wasn't anyone I recognized, who could he be. The new recruit? He had a revolver in his holster and wore a giant hat on his head. He sort of looked like a, what was the name... Cowman? While struggling to deal with his anger, feeling betrayed and useless, Genji gets assigned a new mission to show he can, in fact, follow Reyes' orders: he is to welcome a Rookie to Blackwatch and watch over him for his first days. Regardless of Genji's rudeness, the Rookie is determined to be kind to the cyborg. He even seems to worry for Genji's wellbeing; it is something Genji isn't used to, and his feelings about it contradict everything he thought he knew about himself. He doesn't know when it happens, but the programmed omnic Rookie suddenly turns into the one person Genji can't live without.
