A Second Skin is what we call our uniforms, clothing and armor. I wear a Second Skin. I used to be an ordinary girl, but during that time I was extremely anti-social (I still am though, but for different reasons). When I turned twelve, I realized I could talk to animals and so did another boy, named Alex. We perfected our skill and learned the language of animals by mimicking their body language and sounds. The government found out about us and gave rights to a demented scientist, stating that he could experiment on us in whichever way he deemed fit. The Tower is something the government built to keep Alex and I inside. And just to be sure that we aren't going try and escape, they have a way of tracking us and that is to put cuff around our right wrist. This cuff electrocutes us and burns our skin on contact. The scar that is left behind on us is always the same, the letter T to the exponent of 5 on the back of our wrist. The government doesn't even know what is going behind those steel walls. The scientist who has control of the Tower didn't tell us his name, instead we are to refer to him as the Warden. This isn't the first time we've been in the Tower nor will it be the last.

This just keeps getting worse. How am I supposed to dodge past two of them? "What do you want now?" the new soldier grumbles. This one must be Alex. "Look at this cute little human I found. She's feisty. I think she's perfect for you." I glare at them. "I don't want a pet human. That's your disgusting fetish, and I'll have no part in it." "Oh come on Captain," the first soldier whines, "You don't have to fuck her, just train her to be obedient. Surely you can control one measly wild human? You are a captain after all. When you're done, you can just get rid of her, like I do with my humans." What the fuck? For a brief moment my fear is replaced by anger. Escaping the Monster's Embrace (OLD BEING REWRITTEN )
(Currently being rewritten under a new name The Claimed) Everything changed when they came out of hiding, terror spread across the world as people began to question if our presidents and our global leaders lied to us and weren't from the same race. The Beasts blended in amongst us as if we were the same, except humans didn't have the same predatory instincts and we couldn't change our forms like they could. Soon after we learnt that we weren't the only species people began going missing. Some were unlucky and taken as something that the Beasts called a Mate that one word made fear spread throughout my veins, I would rather sell my soul than have one of them mutts chain me to them. Six months went by before the government, that was un-tainted by this vile race began to take action into their own hands contacting other countries and militaries causing the great war to happen, sending both my parents off to fight for our rights.
