An Empire of One

A collection of material following former Centurion Tiberius Livius Imperiosa, and his descent from being held as the ideal of the citizen-soldier, to mercenary vagabond. Broken by war and loss. Disillusioned with the Imperium that molded him into the man he is today, he could not bear to look at the hollow corpse it truly was. Nowhere did he find the virtues that were instilled into him. Generals, trusting too readily in their superiority of arms and numbers, not even bothering to strategize. Senators rendering empty promises to their starving citizens, while fattening themselves on the riches the Imperium acquired with the blood their citizens spilt and spilled.

Tiberius chose to walk the path that the Empire had set out for him, but the Empire itself never so much as laid eyes on. Thus, Tiberius walks his path alone. Trying to embody all he was taught, in mind and body. Dignity. Dutifulness. Prudence. Mercy. Justice. He carries the ghost of his Imperium alone. Some would say it haunts him. All who have encountered know that it has warped him.
