Remington Blakes, a magus from a 21st century where magic powers the world, is stranded in Augustan Rome. Well a guy has to eat, so he's forced to eke out a living as a magus-for-hire among Rome's plebeians. He calls himself "Natta Magus," which is loosely translated as "artisan wizard." Call it a marketing decision.

In this short story, Natta and his Praetorian friend Vitulus must find out who or what is devouring the ceremonial togas of wealthy Senators. An eye-rolling job quickly turns into something more dangerous than he imagined, and teaches him that the best things in life have nothing to do with power and riches.

"The Eater of Togas" is set in the Journals of Natta Magus series, currently available in ebook and print.

A retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth, a story of fate, the struggle for power, and love found in the most unexpected places. ***** Persephone has been raised in Olympus all her life - her mother absent, her father a cruel king, with her siblings teaching her all they know. She has seen all of what the gods and goddesses do and she is sick of it. When she learns her safety is threatened by staying in Olympus, she flees to the Underworld. There she stays until she learns that her leaving has caused the world to wilt. But leaving behind her newfound friends and Lady of the Underworld is something she will not do willingly, no matter the consequences.
