What if Katniss was the one who was captured by the Capitol at the end of Catching Fire? What if Peeta was the one with the rebels? This fanfiction is in the perspective of Peeta Mellark. I have used some of the same information and dialogue from the books by Suzanne Collins, but as the story goes on it's pretty much my work. :) This story is uncompleted and I've only released the first chapter. I also haven't edited it all that much.

For this fic to be plausible, we need to assume: Katniss is 'selfish' enough to choose her own safety over that of other people (which she isn't because she's awesome). The plot twist is basically that Katniss didn't kiss Peeta when they were in the Capitol during the Rebellion, and how it would effect Peeta's recovering, since that is obviously taking it a step back. --- Katniss is broken, tortured, and she has lost almost everyone she ever took a second to care about. Almost. Peeta is still alive, but also still hijacked. Will Katniss find a way to cure Peeta, and get him to come back to her? And how does their future, after the Rebellion, look?
