Dawn was 15 when it all started. 

The plague tore across the country and infested itself in every city. Millions were infected and everything started to fall to pieces. People rioted and tore the cities apart. That's exactly what happened to Dawn's city Gainsville. After the violence and mayhem, the CDC finally eradicated the plague a year later. Everyone was saved, except for the infected that is. They were left to die, most of the population was deceased now anyways. This was the case with Dawn's parents. Looking after them and taking care of them for two years, Dawn was 17 when they died. She was completely left alone in this disastrous world.
 
By this time three gangs had taken control of Gainsville. The Blood Diamonds, the Midnight Mafia, and the Switchblades. They claimed their territory and fought for the city making Gainsville an even more dangerous place. Would the gangs ever fall into an all out war? Fending for herself and her two found friends Asher Lakewood and Julia Summers, will Dawn survive? What will she do when to gangs get close enough to knock on her front door? Will she even take the chance and join a gang because it would be safer? What will Dawn end up doing in this dangerous world of hers?
