This story is somewhat linked to my other one called, The Hunter Vanguard, you don't have to read that one, but you can if you want to. The character and a few moments are mentioned/used in here, but nothing too big. But the character is in the last chapter.

Opal Erwan, she's known to everyone as the Lone Ranger. She's always worked alone, never stayed in the same place for a period of time. Opal had gone missing, has been missing for a long time. She free's herself, and months after, Zavala and Ikora send Cayde to find her, and bring her back to the Tower.

(Destiny 1&2 Fireteam OCs x Male Reader Story) DISCLAIMER: If you have not read my Multiverse Destiny story, I recommend just the first couple of chapters to get context whenever that Y/N is mentioned on my character sheet or in the story. In a universe fraught with relentless battles and unyielding darkness taking different shapes, Mox Cuhn, Serenity-1, and Chase Hamley stand together as Fireteam Phantom. These fierce guardians, bound by their duty to protect humanity, find an unexpected connection with a humble guardian outfitter named Y/N L/N. Though NOT a guardian, Y/N crafts and enhances gear with unwavering dedication, dazzling flair, and unrivaled beauty. All taught to him by Eva Levante, an elder who is responsible for all the wonderful techniques he uses now. However, Y/N has a problem of his own, a fight against his own darkness if you will, whilst intertwining with these Guardians in ways he never imagined. Y/N has been battling with cancer, incurable under most circumstances, and is now reaching his final shape. The fireteam of guardians and Y/N eventually discover that even in the face of death, love and friendship can blossom. This tale explores the power of what a connection can do in face of inevitable loss. WARNING: This story is mature, expect mature things. Also, lore and things are bound to be wrong. Through Time and Light [Cayde-6 Fanfiction]

30 parts Complete

The story follows Olivia ("Liv"), a dedicated Destiny 2 player who feels an unspoken connection with Cayde-6, the charming, rogue-ish Hunter Vanguard. After one particularly long night of playing and rewatching the cinematic where Cayde meets his tragic end, Liv falls asleep wishing she could change his fate. When she wakes up, she finds herself no longer in her bedroom but in the Tower of the Last City, with the same Guardian armor she chose in the game. Realizing she's now in the Destiny 2 universe, Liv is overwhelmed but soon determined to find Cayde-6. Along the way, she discovers she's been granted the powers of a Guardian, but there's more to her sudden arrival. She has a special connection to the Traveler, which has sent her on a mission: to stop the cataclysmic events that lead to Cayde's death. As Liv fights alongside Cayde, she finds herself falling for him in ways she never thought possible, even though she knows his tragic fate looms over them. Torn between her growing feelings and the pressure of preventing the inevitable, Liv must navigate this universe, face powerful enemies, and defy time itself to rewrite Cayde's fate. The closer they grow, the harder the battles become, not just with the enemies they face but within herself. Can she save him without unraveling the very fabric of the universe? Or will her love lead to consequences far worse than what she sought to prevent?
