"I can't do this." I choke through a sob, the pain is too much. "I'm not strong enough." Another sob as pain jerks me from my hands and knees to my back, the wet ground soaking through my clothes, giving me a small reprieve from the heat covering my body.
"Focus child, you can do this." he speaks into my ears, giving me the encouragement that I need. I shake my head as the heat increases once again causing pain to flare again. Please make it stop, please. I close my eyes tight as I see fire spark on my hand. I make grab for the mans large hand, praying for a quick end, as the fires turns to burning heat. "Holy hell." I hear him whisper as the heat fades, and in its place cool strips travel across my skin.
