Every year the students of Secret Spy Academy and their beloved spy dogs compete for the grand prize of the sun. A locket that glows brightly and beautifully for just a few minutes once a day.

This contest is called Man's Best Friend.

Sixteen year old Jennifer Taylor is one of the most renowned winners for her strong body, intellectual mind and most importantly, her relationship with Dusty, her collie.

Four years on, Jennifer had a beautiful baby girl with her newlywed husband Mark.

Baby Allison.

Jennifer's dream was to see Allison win Man's Best Friend, so as soon as Allison turned fourteen, she was sent to Secret Spy Academy to learn how to defend the world from evil.

She didn't know that her sister, Darrell had the same idea with her gorgeous son, Sam.

Allison is now sixteen and has finally been picked by the judges to enter the contest.

Same goes for Sam.

But when the mismatched pair meet without knowing their family connections, is there a spark?

By the time they find out, will it be too late?

And will mean girl/Sam's ex Monica steal Sam back from Allison? 

The kids are whisked into a race for the locket. Together.
