It is ten thousand years in future. Earth has expanded into the galaxy. Mankind has colonized Hyos, a seemingly empty volcanic planet in Cygnus. In this futuristic world, people with brain implants live in a sophisticated underground society. They have one fear: mental illness. They have one weakness: insomnia. They are completely dependent on a sleep machine. One day, the sleep machine malfunctions and a young military woman, Leda, wakes up during synthetic sleep. Ari, an expert on brain implants, is called to investigate the matter. As he tries to understand the sleep machine malfunction and its consequences on the human brain, he starts to uncover secrets from his own past. What was the real truth about his mother's mental illness and death? Can sleep, dreams and memories be truly suppressed? Can the human brain ever be absolutely controlled?
