Kyra Proulx has one fear: falling asleep. Out of everything to be afraid of, why is it something that most people love to do? When Kyra sleeps, she always dreams or has nightmares. On top of that, she always remembers her dreams or nightmares. They're not silly irrational nightmares. It's always something that makes you want to claw your eyes out so you never have to see something that terrifying again. Her dreams are strange though. Not only can she remember them, but she can see them through detail. One "nightmare" gave her a scar along the length of her forearm. So now she has a big question. Is what she sees just in her head, or are they utterly tangible things she deals with outside of her actual life?

I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect.
