After the success of our very first variant of Mystic Desi Writing Contest, we have been asked to bring it back! So, here's presenting Desi Lihaaz Take Two especially for writers who are passionate about India & its culture.
We only have one rule: Weave a fictional Indian community with your words.
You do not have to be an Indian writer in order to participate, as long as your story fits one of the writing themes.
Entry form opens: January 1st. Use our prompts and themes to get a head start of on your new Indian book.

Previous Title : Tum Jo Nahi Toh Kuch Bhi Nahi --- He sat emotionlessly, his gaze filled with anger as he looked at her. She met his eyes, confused and unable to decipher what was going on in his mind. The mantras echoed around them, the ceremony unfolding in slow motion. He went through the motions, following the priest's instructions, but his mind was far away, lost in a storm of resentment. "I can't believe you did this," he seethed inwardly. "I thought you were different, someone who could understand me, but I was wrong. I wanted to marry her, to build a life with her, but you destroyed everything. How could you stoop so low? She asked me to marry you for the sake of my family, for my father's happiness, but I can't. I will never marry someone like you." So the story is revolved around 2 alone and broken individuals, both were all alone since their birth but one's loneliness was visible while other's was not. The Story is about the girl who was once all about obedience but only once she didn't obliged her elders and she had to leave everything and everyone. The story is about a man who had everything but no-one to share. He was successful but had no-one to celebrate his success. He had ocean of sorrows but no one to share no-one to listen. He has a heart of gold but no-one to reach there. The story is about the path they walked to become the STAR (TARA) of each-other's lonely and dark life. ....................................................TARA....................................................
