After witnessing the tragic death of her mother, Alexa hasn't quite been the same. On top of that, she's unwillingly moved to a small town in Montana where she meets Jay, who makes her feel more than welcome. Many strange things happen when she's around him, and it's obvious he's trying hard to cover up a shady past. She then encounters a strange boy, who gives her several warnings about Jay and his past. Who should she trust? The boy who's made her feel at home and safe? Or the one who seems to be stalking her, but his warnings seem all-too-real?

For Aidan, Jay's past is too close for comfort. Jay's past is his reality. They were close, too close. And Jay betrayed him. He wasn't going to let that happen again. He wasn't going to let another innocent person suffer. Not again. Memories from his past haunt him. They dictate everything he does and everything he will do to save her. He has nothing to lose, and will stop at nothing to see her live. Problem is, his relationship with her might prove to be more than he can handle. He vowed he would never love again...but how much power does a vow hold over a person?

"Now that you're mine, that boundary shit goes away for me. If you have a problem, it's my problem. Someone's treatin' you like shit, then they can answer to me. I'm not waiting around and watching you get walked on because I feel like it isn't my place, it is my place now," he finished, and I couldn't help the sad smile that formed on my face. "You don't have to do that though...you don't need to put that kind of burden on your shoulders," I mumbled, the idea of someone taking care of me like that one that I still wasn't accustomed to. He reached forward to grab my chin, the same way he always seemed to when he was telling me something important. I felt my breath hitch as he bent down to look me square in the eyes. "Punishing someone who decides they want to fuck with you isn't an obligation. I can promise you, I'll enjoy every second of it," he assured, though the sentiment wasn't exactly reassuring. ***** Sammy had wanted to leave behind her small town in Kentucky for a place where nobody would know her or her tragic past. But moving to Montana a few years ago has offered her nothing near the calm life with a clean plate that she had desired. Instead, a new group of friends whom she loves as if they were family. But also, Tyson Crawford. The boy she fell for sophomore year of college...now the dangerous man she can't get away from. As the dark secrets of her life become harder and harder to hide from her friends, dark secrets of their own begin to emerge. And now that Greyson Shawnel is coming back to town - a man she's only ever heard of in her friends' stories - Sammy's entire world is catching on fire. Because Greyson can see through the cracks of her lies, and he doesn't intend to let it go on any longer. Even if there's a larger danger looming on the horizon, one that threatens them all...

"Loving you is exhausting and hard. Give me a freaking break." he said. "Then why are you still here?", she whispered with a pale and trembling voice, holding back the tears that were willing to fall down her cheeks. Laura never wanted to fall in love with someone she couldn't touch - someone who only existed behind a screen, a voice borne by time zones and poor connections. But Evan made distance seem hazardous. He made every silence burn. "You could've stopped talking to me." she said to him once. "I tried," he said. "You just wouldn't leave my fucking head." Somewhere in between their late-night phone calls and the words they never spoke, something real started to take shape - delicate, wrong, and beautiful. But love such as theirs was going to shatter. It was constructed on waiting, on jealousy, on all the things they couldn't have. And maybe that's the cruelest kind of love - the kind that feels infinite, but ends the moment you wake up. Until Aiden walked in - the man who was real, present, and everything Evan couldn't be. Aman who had actually been beside her even when she broke his heart, even when she drifted away to chase someone who made her heart ache in ways she never imagined. "He doesn't deserve you. please wake up Lau." Aiden told her. "Then why does it still feel like he's the one?" she whispered. "You're crazy." Somewhere between what she wanted and what she needed, Laura lost control. Between time zones and heartbreak, between messages and memories, something between them had shattered. Because sometimes, love doesn't ask you to choose between two people - it asks you to choose which part of yourself you're willing to destroy.

Growing up with a nickname like Misery can seem like the worst thing to happen to a girl. That is, until you find out that your father is a serial killer. Ten years after escaping the town that would never allow her to escape her father's dark shadow, Missouri Jacobs returns to Faulkner Montana with one mission in mind. She needs to settle her family's estates, then she can take that money and start a new life, maybe even with a new name, someplace no one knows her or the stories that surrounded her family. However, returning to her childhood home brings back all of the memories Missouri has been spending years trying to forget. And a chance run in with a boy she once loved with all of her heart makes not drowning in those memories over and over even harder. All set to leave, Missouri wants nothing more than to put Faulkner and everything that happened there truly in the past once and for all, but then... Another girl goes missing. Then another. Then another. Wrapped in a fog of déjà vu and separating the present from her past, Missouri is determined not to be blindsided this time. This new killer might be playing games with her, but this time, she's going to be the one to end this all, or she'll die trying.
