Clara Stahlbaum has her future perfectly planned:  marry the handsome pianist, Johann Kahler (ah!), and settle down to a life full of music.  But all that changes when she receives a magical nutcracker and is whisked away to his world full of giant rats and beautiful palaces.  "The Enchanted Sonata" is a retelling of The Nutcracker Ballet with a dash of The Pied Piper.

Tchaikovsky's ballet is divided into two acts, performed silently with graceful and complicated body language.
