"Javon..." I said as tears filled my eyes, "I'm gonna miss you a lot, what am I gonna do?" He grabbed my hand, I could feel my heart speed up, I could feel my heart in the tips of my fingers, and staring into his big blue eyes gave me butterflies. The small wall hold my tears back finally fell, and I could feel the hot tears streaming down my face. "I'll be home soon enough Claire, we'll still Skype everyday." He said with a big smirk on his face as he intertwined our pinky's together, I could help but sit there and stare in awe, we then simultaneously said, "Pinky promise."
The next thing I know I feel the pressure of his soft big full lips against mine. I was frozen, I couldn't move. This confirmed everything for me, it wasn't all in my head. But how can I be in love with my best friend, and why right before he goes to Europe we realize it? All I can think about is why I didn't tell him sooner...

I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy.
