Jenny Berns, 16, blames herself for the loss of her older brother Kenny, who ended his own life because of unavoidable events, caused by her abusive father, only to find out her favorite fantasy characters, vampires and werewolves exist.

I pace around the waiting room of the hospital as Jakira was sitting down shaking her leg nervously. The hospital was busy as nurses were running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
