Adele Connors just desperately wants to fit in. She longs for the day when people don't shove past her in the school hallways or ignore her at lunchtime. In a desperate attempt to escape the harsh reality of her life, she starts writing a book, recreating herself as "Ella" and constructing every aspect of her life to end up with everybody adoring her. With a series of unexpected twists to follow up with, how will this fantasy world affect Adele's reality? Is Ella just someone Adele longs to be, or is she the girl lying just beneath the surface of Adele's skin, simply waiting for the perfect time to emerge?
