It's all about sculptures!

Take a glance at Indian history and one would find that resplendent art forms have always been an integral part of our culture. One can never deny the fact that the spectacular carvings on boulders have¬ inevitably stood as mouthpieces conveying the events that an era or a dynasty witnessed. The marvelous sculptures that are still being unearthed from different corners of the nation enthrall the spectators and lure them to bask in the glory of this art and the finesse of the maestros who strived behind it. Though not invoking the qualities of an era or a ruler, the towering marvels created out of stone, cement and metal that one comes across in the city of Kochi invariably pay tribute to the much forgotten artistry of sculpturing. These masterful pieces have chosen to be messengers, environmentalists, activists, and even prophets. The shapeless craggy rocks as once they were, needs to be viewed with a broader mindset. Unfortunately no one seems to stop and listen to the stories they have in store. A quick look at them may not be enough if you are interested in cracking the codes. You'll have to stop, take a close look and miraculously you'll find those boulders magically mesmerizing you. They may narrate a story, give you a message or remind you of something you may have missed or forgotten long back.
