What happens when the only person able to resist the destruction of their soul has been erased from society and forced to work for the government? What happens when things are not what they appear?
Detectives. They're top notch security and don't exist to the public eye.
Soul Seachers. They seek to destroy and have slowly been wrecking havoc and infiltrating governments all over the world.
Vonica Chase. She might be the only thing standing in their way.
*A/N* I never created a description for this story so I made this in a handful of minutes 😅 I have quite a bit typed out so updates should be relatively fast. I know I have other stories on here but this one best suits my writing style and isn't hard for me to work on which means I shouldn't have writer's block as often as I do for my other works. My other stories on here are all me experimenting with other writing styles so they're a bit difficult to form sometimes. I'll also fix the cover so "seacher" is fully in the frame but that'll be fixed later. I hope you enjoy!
P.S. I'm rating this as mature even though I think it isn't necessarily needed

To put it simply, this story is about two soulmates, a strange companion and narrator, and the adventure of a lifetime. . . . You're still curious, aren't you? Very well, I'll describe this story out in a bit more detail to you. Karl is running away. Why? Well, he has a soulmate, and he's not too happy about it. He's seen the things love can do, and he isn't keen on having it for himself. His necklace had been dormant for 2 years and he'd thought that maybe his soulmate lived across the continent and he'd never have to worry about seeing them, but now the lightning was glowing, signalling that they were probably also in the Capital. It's a risk leaving the only thing he's known his entire life, the safety of the castle, but he has to get away from his soulmate. So, now he's walking away from the Capital, about to go on a wild adventure. Sapnap, on the other hand, has been looking forward to meeting his soulmate for his entire life. When he wakes up the day after his 18th birthday to a gradually dimming necklace, he takes executive action and decides to follow his soulmate. The guy isn't much of a survivalist, but luckily he has a friend in the shape of an almost-god to help him along the way. Is that enough detail for you? As much as Kimberly Astor hated to admit it, she had a slight problem. Okay, so it was theoretically a major problem, but it wasn't entirely her fault.
