All Valerie had ever known were abusive relationships and pain, and when she meets sweetheart Liam, she rejects his kindness. She comes around and things start to look brighter, but what will happen when jealousy threatens Liam's health? As a disclaimer, this story takes place pre-One Direction. Liam and Valerie are 15. Liam has already auditioned as a 14 year old for X-Factor but not many people know. Once the story progresses, I will decide whether I will bring in Danielle as a conflict or leave her out completely because I feel bad saying anything bad about her! I would rather ignore her existence. I'll come back and change this once I'm more certain of what I will do! And once again, not all One Direction facts may be perfectly correct, because some are edited to fit the story! Thanks for reading! The phone number is not Liam's phone number, but its not random either. Its the international dialing code for the UK (+44), Wolverhamptons area code (1902) Liams age irl (18) and his 2010 Xfactor audition number (61898).

The news broke like a wave, drowning everything else in its path. Liam Payne, gone. I stared at the screen, heart in pieces, trying to grasp that the boy who had once brought me so much joy would never sing again, never smile again. There was no warning, no chance to say goodbye. "If only..." I whispered, clutching their iPod as tears slipped down my cheeks. "If only I could have stopped it..." The words hung in the air, heavy with a yearning so intense it almost felt tangible. The room blurred around them, and before I could process what was happening, everything went dark. When the world came back into focus, I wasn't sitting in my room anymore. The familiar hum of city life faded away, replaced by the soft strum of a guitar and a voice I knew all too well. "You're insecure, don't know what for..." My breath hitched. It couldn't be... Liam.
